Chapter Thirteen

“Are you sure Marie is okay with me coming over?” Tomas asked worriedly. “She was pretty upset when I left earlier.”

Sike smiled. “Relax, Tomas. I’m sure that Marie has had time to calm down. You worry too much, my friend. They may be the most stubborn creatures we’ve ever encountered, but deep down these females are docile like any other female. I’m sure she’ll come around soon.” He shared a knowing smile with Mak.

The warriors stepped out of the lift onto the second floor and froze. They heard laughter and some kind of unusual sound coming from the large meeting room. They looked at each other in confusion and cautiously approached the door. Sike placed his palm on the panel and the door swished open. The warriors’ jaws dropped at what they saw inside.

The women were dancing provocatively to the unusual and loud sound coming out of the intercom. They looked like they were intoxicated. Tomas sputtered when he spotted Marie on top of a table moving sensually, “You call this docile?” He growled warningly at Sike when he laughed.

Marie stood on top of a table and danced provocatively to the Commodores song Brick House. The women danced around the table and cheered her on. Raya jokingly called out for her to take it off. Marie smiled wickedly and whipped off her top over her head. She swung it around and threw it away.

A male’s angry voice roared over the loud music. “Fucking hell! Lumina, you put that back on right now!”

Maggie quickly shut off the music and the women turned to stare. They laughed at the stunned expressions of the men standing in the doorway.

Marie turned around and squealed. “Tomas! You came!” She jumped drunkenly off the table and ran over to him. When she reached him, she launched herself into his arms and started peppering kisses all over his face.

Tomas staggered back in shock when his half naked mate jumped into his arms. He instinctively caught her and pulled her close to shield her naked breasts from the other men. What the fuck? “Lumina?”

Marie wantonly rubbed her body up against him. “I can’t believe it! You’re here! I want to mate right now.”

Tomas didn’t know what to think. He was stunned. The last time he’d spoken with her, she’d been angry and acted like she’d rather be tortured than to mate with him. He inhaled and detected the scent of a bitter sweet substance along with her normal vanilla scent.

He looked over at Suzzie and Glory and growled, “Which living quarters did she choose?”

Glory grinned. “Marie’s is located on the second floor, third room on the right after you exit the lift. Go easy on her. This is the first time she’s ever been intoxicated.”

Tomas nodded. He swung around and glared at the warriors. Thankfully, all of them only had eyes for their own mate. None were looking at his. He’d hate to have to knock their eyeballs out of their head. They instantly stepped aside when he strode from the room.
